Reduce cost of maintenance at Petronas
At Petronas, a Malaysian oil and gas company, we were asked to identify pain points within the Issue to Resolution process by applying process- and datamining.
Result
The entire Issue to Resolution process was discovered and reconstructed with ARIS process mining based on SAP data. KPI’s like work hour accuracy and work order detail were calculated and root causes of bottlenecks were identified. Based on predictive analytics, a proper management dashboard was created.
Approach
After preparing the data a dashboard was created which gave insight in the current performance of the selected KPI’s. Root causes and deviations were analyzed and predictive analytics was applied for decision-making. A process conformance check indicated the GAP between process design and the real execution of the Issue to Resolution process. These insights resulted in an advice to the management on how to reduce the cost of materials, maintenance and increase the plant availability.
