Interfood is a leading Dairy Trading company that connects demands and supply of dairy product worldwide. Given the strong growth Interfood has had the past years Interfood asked MLC to help with setting up and executing the operational excellence programs over the hubs. Operational excellence is all about scalability, so handling more volume with the same team without facing extra risk.  This enables organization to have sustainable growth.

Approaches/activities:                  

The first step of Operational Excellence is to map the “AS IS” processes. Based on this, together with the teams, we can see improvement and with these improvement we can form a transformation plan to determine and implement the “TO BE” processes. This is exactly what we do during the pressure cooker. This is a short period where intensively question the stakeholders so that we can make a sound OPEX plan. After that we start and implement. For Interfood this way of working was highly successful. Also the reason why MLC have helped all hubs (Europe, Americas & APAC) worldwide.

Deliverables:         

✅ Transitioned from “AS IS” to “TO BE” processes through three iterative stages: Foundation, Management, and Optimization. ✅ Successfully implemented over 50 improvements, ranging from substantial changes to smaller tweaks. ✅ Established a solid process management structure, including correct governance. ✅ Implemented data-driven KPIs and began steering processes using these indicators. ✅ Fostered a culture of Continuous Improvement throughout the organization, leading teams to independently identify and implement improvements. Hereby ensuring OPEX isn’t a one off but a future proof way of working!

Results:             

These accomplishments have significantly changed mindset and improved operational capacity, helping Interfood APAC hub to achieve more scalability.
